Bruce Lewis, now retired, was a crime reporter for several California daily newspapers, including the Contra Costa Times (predecessor of the East Bay Times). His reporting earned six awards for best news and feature writing.
Bruce is the author of Bloody Paws and Bloody Pages, crime thrillers from publisher Black Rose Writing. His third book in the Kim Jansen Detective Series is Bloody Feathers, under contract and due for submission 9.1.23, with a release date of March 3, 2023. Bloody Paws won a Maxy Award honorable mention for best crime novel of 2021. HIs novels are based in Portland, Oregon where he lived for six years before returning to the San Francisco East Bay.
He is the author of the Master Detective Magazine cover story, Bloody Murder in Beautiful Downtown Burbank.
