Three of Our Own Read at Art Embraces Words

Cheryl Spanos (Mad Hatter), Marlene Dotterer (Star Fleet Captain Hindra), and Jill Hedgecock (Shadow)

Each of them won a prize in the costume contest!

October Art Embraces Words Features Three Writers from CWC Mt. Diablo

The fun was non-stop at the Halloween celebration of Art Embraces Words at the Lafayette Library.

Cheryl Spanos read a chapter from her newly launched YA novel, “Bedlam Bewitched.”

Marlene Dotterer read part of her WIP short story, “Caught in an Alien Ocean.”

Jill Hedgecock read a chapter from “Between Shadow’s Eyes,” her YA novel about a Doberman who sees ghosts.

The writers shared the spotlight with two local artists, Olivia Falk, and Gini Graham Scott.

It was also good to see so many Mt. Diablo members in the audience! Margie Witt, Cindy Leonard, Fran Cain and her husband, Michael, Aurelia Gincauskas-Palciauskas and her husband, Victor, and dual member Lani Longshore from Tri-Valley.
If any of you took photos, send them in!
