Summer Writing Competition

Rubrics

• Flash fiction and Poetry. Must have a summer theme and bonus points if the word “Summer” is in the title.
• Flash fiction: not more than 100 words. The title is not included in the word count.
• Poetry. A maximum of 15 lines.
• Submit as many entries as desired.
• Use Word 365 and its default set up in Word 10 or 11…. not Word 7.
• Text font size: Times New Roman 12 pt.
• Title font size: Times New Roman 18 pt. (Do NOT apply Bold)
• Center title.
• Text line spacing: 1.5
• Follow standard default setting for indents.
• No headers or footnotes.
• No personal identification on the MS
• Be very careful if you have used an editing tool (review button in Microsoft Word 10/11 for your piece. Please, please, make sure it is scrubbed before submitting it.
