Meet Our New Member: Emily Waters

Emily Waters

I am a Bay Area native who recently published my first novel, Honey in the Marrow, with Ylva Publishing. I have a Bachelors in English Literature from Chapman University and a Masters of Library Science from Indiana University. Besides writing, I’m currently a full time librarian with Contra Costa County and have recently joined the CWC! We’re always looking for great programs at the library, so if you have an idea for one, please feel free to reach out.

My next novel is due to be published early next year, but I find there’s always space to grow and improve when it comes to writing, and my effort this year is getting more involved locally and socially. Marketing yourself as an independent writer or a writer with a small publishing house is so daunting and making these sorts of connections is great.
