The Redwood Writers Club invites authors everywhere to enter their “Guaranteed Happily Ever After” flash fiction contest. Redwood is looking for original stories of 500 words or fewer that promise readers one thing: no matter how rocky the road, happiness waits at the end. Romance, fantasy, literary fiction, horror with heart, fairy tales, strange comedies, bittersweet journeys that blossom into joy… all genres are welcome.
The submission period runs from July 1 through August 31. Entry fee is $15. CWC members of any branch may submit up to three stories, while non-members may submit one.
Open to writers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Bring us your heartbreak, your chaos, your dragons, your awkward first dates, your haunted bakeries, your last-minute miracles… just make sure love, hope, or happiness gets the final word.
