Open to all CWC Members & Non-Members
Key Details:
- Theme: The Path Not Taken: Explore the profound power of choice and the lingering presence of its consequences. Bring the unseen or untraveled road vividly to life.
- Categories: Open to Fiction and Memoir/Creative Nonfiction.
- Fiction Writers: Craft a story about an alternate reality, a fork in the road, or the ghost of what could be.
- Nonfiction Writers: Introspectively analyze a past decision, fully imagining the life that would have unfolded had you chosen differently.
Submission & Entry:
- Open to the public
- Submission window: November 1-30, 2025
- Entry Fee: $12 for CWC members, $17 for non-members
Prizes & Publication:
- 1st Place: $100
- 2nd Place: $50
- 3rd Place: $25
- Honorary Runner Up: Certificate
Contest winners will also be published on the CWC Napa website, and may have the opportunity to be published in an upcoming anthology.
