2020 YWC Winners

 2020 Young Writers Contest

Congratulations to our Winners!

The CWC-Mt. Diablo Branch sends thanks to all the students who entered this year’s contest. We loved reading your submissions and are honestly proud of the talent you all displayed. As writers ourselves, we understand that the words we write are part of us. It takes a special kind of confidence to submit your writing to strangers, hoping they will like it. Kudos to all of you!

THIS YEAR’S NUMBERS

Submissions: 316

Students participating: 200

Schools represented: 27

Winners: 31

Honorable Mentions: 27

A SPECIAL NOTE FOR 2020 WINNERS

Pandemics and shelter-in-place orders did not affect submissions or judging but sadly, did prevent us from holding our usual awards ceremony. This event allows us to meet you, your families and teachers, and celebrate your win with the honor you deserve. We look forward to it every year and we know you were, too. But obviously, such an event is far too dangerous during a pandemic.

We hope that at next year’s ceremony, you will be able to join us as honored guests. We will send you information as the time approaches. Who knows? Some of you may be winners next year, as well!

Now at last, here is the list of this year’s winners!                                                                                                  Print List
