I’ve sometimes been asked, “Do you write when you get inspired?”
My answer, “I don’t get inspired. I show up.”
Creating and committing to a writing practice is essential for artists of all kinds. But to those of us who have other demanding commitments – to family, friends, work, and yes, even hobbies – it can seem impossible to find time to write. My goal in this presentation is to identify the perceived obstacles to making it happen, to suggest ways of overcoming those obstacles, and ways to keep on track.
