Dr. Steiner is a noted national and international speaker, workshop leader, author, consultant to therapists, and a highly respected, practicing psychotherapist. In her private practice, she works with individuals, couples, and leads therapy groups focusing on life challenges, relationships and transitions.

As an international trainer/teacher, professional speaker, and specialist in leadership skills for group leaders, her tools for making groups emotionally safer, and more productive, have made her a sought after speaker/trainer.

Her most recent book, the Third Edition of How to Create and Sustain Groups that Thrive: Therapist’s Groups that Thrive: Workbook and Planning Guide, Routledge Books, London, was just released!

She is delighted that Green Pastures, under the auspices of Grace Yung, Ph.D., in Hong Kong, has agreed to translate/ publish both books into traditional Chinese characters and simplified Chinese for readers in Mainland China, Singapore and Malaysia.

  • Dr. Steiner recently published Help Your Group Thrive: Workbook and Planning Guide, Routledge Books, London, April, 2018. This easy-to-use manual guides leaders of groups of ALL kinds—discussion groups, Book Clubs, peer support groups, organizations, and workplace teams. It provides leadership and facilitation tools, sample group agreements, and numerous modifiable forms for starting and maintaining groups that thrive.
  • She is a pioneer in working with and teaching about individuals derailed by chronic physical illness and medical issues. Dr. Steiner has personal and professional experience with chronic pain and has authored numerous publications on the topic.

Currently, she is working on  “The Therapist’s Professional Will: An Interactive Workbook and Planning Guide” and looks forward to completing her  self-help book, “The Rollercoaster of Chronic Illness: How to Add Joy to the Ride,” a guide for individuals, family, and friends whose lives are affected by chronic pain and illness.
